The women of the Guiraye cooperative work in their vegetable garden that was fenced and irrigated with the help of ACORD NGO. The produce grown in the garden improves the nutritional levels of the village and are sold in local markets. The revenue generated by the garden permits the women of the cooperative to be more independent and to have a greater say in the affairs of the community.
