Sharda Solanki (center), 36, sits with her husband Kantibhai (left), 38, as their daughter Rasmi, 20, makes tea in a house, built using the money Sharda made from her surrogacies. While her husband Kantibhai works as a security guard earning 5,000 Rupees per month, Sharda has earned hundreds of thousands of Rupees with the two surrogacies that she did with the Akanksha Clinic. She used her earnings to buy land and buffaloes and build washrooms in, and extend her house. She had also saved a substantial amount to fund her three children's educations and make sure that her two daughters will find husbands to match their current status.
