Sadio Coulibaly (96) holds the Military Medal he was awarded after being wounded in the Algerian war. He is one of the last living 'tirailleurs' who fought in World War II, Algeria and Indochina during his time in the French Colonial army. He says: ''From Kayes camp we went to Tambacounda, Kaolack, Thies and Rufisque. Then we left by boat for Marseille. It took us seven days to arrive and there were kids from all over, from Senegal, Mali, Guinea and Mauritania.''
