Thousands of supporters of the opposition Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) six party Islamic alliance demonstrate against the rule of President Pervez Musharraf in an attempted 'Million-Man March'. The MMA has repeatedly called for the overthrow of Musharraf and for Islamic Sharia law to be implemented throughout the country.
