Washermen (known as Dhobis) gather to cook rotis for breakfast in Dhobighat. It is here that the laundry for all strata of the city's society is washed by hand. From hospital sheets to hospitality table cloths, from garment factory pieces to the everyday items from people's homes, it is washed, dried and returned to its owners.
