Three Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging (Afrikaner Resistance Movement /AWB) men killed in Mmabatho. Alwyn Wolfaardt, Nicolaas Fourie and Jacobus Stephanus Uys were shot dead at point-blank range in front of journalists by a Bophuthatswana police constable, Ontlametse Bernstein Menyatsoe, during the coup d'etat which resulted in the reincorporation of the Bophuthatswana homeland into South Africa.
