Students of Kartini Emergency School assigned for the day to cook. As part of the "life skills" training, teams of students are formed, so that each child has a chance to learn to cook for the school. Since the early 1990s, twin sisters Sri Rosyati (known as Rossy) and Sri Irianingsih (known as Rian) have used their family inheritance to set up and run 64 schools in different parts of Indonesia, providing primary education combined with practical skills to some of the country's most deprived children.
