Workers at the crematorium of the Pashupatinath Hindu temple in Kathmandu spray air freshener around the body of a woman who was killed by the earthquake on April 25th 2015.
Nepalese crematoriums are now working around the clock and have almost non stop funerals. Many corpses are stored in special facilities for days in a queue to be cremated. Relatives of the deceased are not always present at the cremations, as many people are still in hospitals with serious injuries.
On 25 April 2015 a powerful earthquake of 7.8 magnitude struck central Nepal, causing widespread destruction and killing approximately 7,760 people (29 April estimate).
