Nepalese crematoriums are now working around the clock and have almost non stop funerals. Many corpses are stored in special facilities for days in a queue to be cremated. Relatives of the deceased are not always present at the cremations, as many people are still in hospitals with serious injuries.<br />
On 25 April 2015 a powerful earthquake of 7.8 magnitude struck central Nepal, causing widespread destruction and killing approximately 7,760 people (29 April estimate).
