Following the decapitations of American journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff, the British aid worker David Haines and the French tourist Herve Gourdel by terrorist groups associated with the Islamic State (ISIS), French Muslims and Parisians of all faiths gathered in front of Paris' Grande Mosque to denounce the terrorist activities of the Islamic State in the name of Islam. The demonstration is part of a growing movement of indignation by Muslims around the world entitled (hashtag)Not In My Name which was started by British Muslims.
