Noel Mondu (28) shows his injured leg through the bars of a cell in Kundiawa Police Station. He was caught by police during a drunken fight. To punish him, the policemen tried to chop off his left foot with a bush knife. After several attempts, the policemen could not break his bone, and left him bleeding in the prison cell. His inmates helped Noel to stop the bleeding and stitched up the wound without any disinfectant or medical treatment.
