Fish sellers gloves at the Main Avenue Fish Market in Washington D.C. The market stalls are moored on barges in the Washington Channel, and despite being close to the National Mall is very much a local market selling fresh fish. It is thought to be the oldest traditional wharf fish market surviving on the East Coast, depsite the neighbourhoods it once served having long been knocked down.
