Ali Adam (24, foreground) was working in a diamonds mine when he and two of his colleagues were attacked by Anti-Balakas (Christian militia, the name meaning 'anti-machete'). They killed the two others and tried to kill him with a bullet in the head. He survived but his eye is damaged. They left him in the river he was found and brought to the muslim enclave of Boda.<br />

About 11,000 Muslims are trapped in the centre of Boda with food supplies running out and health care at a minimum. Children are suffering from malnutrition and diarrhea while wounded and sick people can't be treated. They are lacking basic medicines. Any Muslims who try to leave the enclave can be attacked by Anti-Balaka.
