The Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz Mosque which was built by the Saudi Joint Relief Committee in 2001. Previously Skenderaj did not have a mosque and the Drenica region, of which Skenderaj is the capital, was long known for it's relaxed approach to religion. For example the traditional song of one nearby village celebrated the fact that it's nominally Muslim inhabitants marked the festival of Eid by drinking Rakija, a local fiery spirit, and eating pork.
