A man washes using water heated on an open fire in a squalid former barracks on the outskirts of Belgrade. Migrants and refugeed make fires using old railway sleepers as fuel. However, the wood is impregnated with chemicals which are released when they are burned resulting in the air being thick with toxic smoke.
