I am definitely a 'Yes', I'm an avid 'Yes' supporter. I've always been of that opinion that Scotland should stand up and make its own mark.
Everyone's influenced by what their parents say and I've totally immersed myself in Scottish traditions and when you are so involved in culture and the heritage of your country and obviously want to drive that forward, I think independence will be the best way to do that.
I go on tour over the summer for six weeks to lots of venues. I've been doing it for years now. I did a talent show at the local hall and my sister went up when I was four. She was about six and with dollies in hand she sang a lullaby. I am just about to go into sixth year. After school I'm really thinking of doing a degree in something academic like earth sciences. I will do the music and have a degree to fall back on. I don't know what got me into earth sciences as its the total other end of the spectrum. I live in the middle of nowhere at the bottom of the hill. Maybe that gave me an interest in science.
You want the government as close to the people as you can and right now I don't think it's benefiting us in anyway. You're doing big projects but all through London. I just want it more evenly spread throughout our country. London is almost like it's becoming an economy in itself. I would like the politicians to make the effort to come up to smaller schools, not just the big ones in Glasgow and Edinburgh, and tell their points to the people.
If I ever do go professional my middle name is Rose so I'd probably be Annie Rose. I was on a flight to Morocco, very bizarre place, and the flight stewardess said ‘Is your name Annie Lennox?' (as in the famous singer) and the guy next to me said ‘I can do one up on that, I'm Michael Jackson'.
