A young woman stands in an alleyway in Geneva Camp. The people living in this urban refugee camp are related to Muslims who moved here mostly, but not exclusively, from Bihar in India after partition. Following Bangladesh's independence from Pakistan in 1971 this Urdu speaking minority found themselves increasingly discriminated against. In many cases they do not have citizenship and now live in poverty in a series of urban camps where they lack services and access to jobs and education.
