A sign announcing that EU-financed rice, beans, cooking oil and charcoal are available at Karen refugee camp, Mae La Oon, on the border between Thailand and Burma. 14,000 refugees were moved to this camp in 2004, after the Thai government made them abandon their former camp which was located in a National Park. Many of the refugees who fled Burma after repression by the Burmese army have been living in Thailand for 30 years.
