Garment workers demonstrate on the streets of Polton, Dhaka, asking for the owner of a collapsed factory in the Savar region to be punished after a fire killed 70 workers and injured over 100. The garment industry accounts for four-fifths of Bangladesh's foreign revenues and employs about 1.8 million workers, mostly women and mostly low paid. Garment workers regularly die in industrial accidents and safety standards remain low by international standards.
