A woman protests during a discussion on Gender Based Violence (GBV) run by UNHCR partner IRC, in Mingkaman IDP camp. Some women accuse aid organisations of introducing issues like rape and gender violence into their community. IRC regularly meet with women living in the camp to discuss a range of issues, including; early marriage and forced marriage; the fact that rape or defilement is rarely reported; the fact that within the local culture such topics are taboo and not discussed. The meetings are largely about awareness creation and teaching the community that GBV/SGBV is a crime.
