An advertisement for a commercial breakfast mix product for mothers and young children made by Africa Improved Foods, a Rwandan company with a Dutch shareholder, DSM. Mostly only the middle class can afford the product but at the same Kigali factory they make a similar food designed for pregnant women, mothers and babies that is supplied to international aid agencies such as WFP (World Food Programme). Both are made with locally bought corn and made using the same state-of-the-art production processes which are computer-controlled and in accordance with food industry international standards.
