Saeed Jalili, one of six contenders in the 2013 presidential election in Iran held on 14 June, waves to suporters at a rally in Tehran. Jalili, an arch conservative, has been serving as Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council and Iran's chief nuclear negotiator since 2007. He was also Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2005 to 2007. He is thought to be the canditate favoured by the country's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Hosseini Khamenei.
