On a visit to the Auschwitz (Birkenau) former Nazi concentration camp organised by the Taube Foundation, Jewish cantors hold up an unwound Torah during the prayer for the dead. It is estimated that between 1.1 and 1.5 million Jews, Poles, gypsies and others were killed here in the Holocaust between 1940-1945.
