Hung (39) catching rats in the thick undergrowth on farmland. Despite the thick gloves he is wearing to protect himself, it is not uncommon to be bitten by the animals. The men use spades to dig up the rat's burrows and force them to the surface where they ensnare them in nets. The rodents, considered a delicacy in the region, are commonly found in paddy fields and along irrigation canals where there is fresh water. Catching rats is an activity that has been passed down generations, with many catchers having learnt the skill at a young age.
