Young workers in a dormitory for Chinese staff working on the construction of Adani Power's new Mundra thermal power station. Once fully operational the coal-fired plant will supply 4620 megawatts of electricity. This is one of many power station construction contracts awarded to Chinese firms by Indian power companies. Much of the equipment, expertise and the workforce building the plant are Chinese. Adani Power has sought to make these Chinese workers feel at home by providing them with living quarters complete with Chinese chefs, ping-pong tables and Chinese television.
