Catholic pilgrims make offerings of flowers during the Feast of the Nativity of Mary, held at the Mount Mary Church in the Mumbai suburb of Bandra. The festival is part of the annual Bandra Fair, a week-long celebrations which attracts between 50,000 and 100,000 visitors a day. It began over 300 years ago when a statue of Mother Mary, dreamt about by a local fisherman, was found floating in the Arabian Sea.
