Jaromir Kriz, the owner of the 'Merkur' (Mercury) construction toy company, at the firm's museum. Kriz rescued the company, founded in the 1920s, from bankruptcy and asset strippers and made it successful. He is holding Otto Wichterle's machine for manufacturing soft contact lenses, that the Czech inventor put together in the 1960s, using his son's Merkur toy building set.
