40 year old Khaled Saeed waits outside a fenced-off area where all newly arrived people must wait during initial processing. Khaled is waiting to greet a former neighbour. If they are accepted they will be given one tent per family, a food ration and basic necessities like mattresses and a small cooking set. Khaled decided to flee his home when his 11 year old son, who was guarding cows in a field, was killed by a bomb on 3 March 2013. Approximately two million people have fled the conflict in Syria. At least 130,000 of them live in Zaatari Refugee Camp, although it was designed to house 60,000, and a further 2,000 people arrive each day.
