Marbella Slum, Freetown, Sierra Leone: Kadiazu (age unknown, probably under 20) stands in before her home. She does not know how far along she is in her third pregnancy. Both of her babies died within months of their birth. Kadiazu will deliver at home as she did in the two pregnancies before. She lives about 200 metres from the nearest health centre but has never been there in her life - although health care for pregnant mothers and children under 5 years of age is free since some months in Sierra Leone.
