Israeli flags fly from the roof of a Bauhaus style building at 28 Rosh Pina Street built by architect Arieh Cohen in 1935. Tel Aviv is known as the White City in reference to its collection of 4,000 Bauhaus style buildings, the largest number in any city in the world. In 2003 the Bauhaus neighbourhoods of Tel Aviv were placed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. .
