A porthole type window in Yaakov Hanoch House, a Bauhaus style building, at 10 Aharonovizh Street. It was built in 1937 by architects Richard Barzilai and Shmuel Haussmann. Tel Aviv is known as the White City in reference to its collection of 4,000 Bauhaus style buildings, the largest number in any city in the world. In 2003 the Bauhaus neighbourhoods of Tel Aviv were placed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. .
